Bush Shows True Colors By Selling Out to the Global Warming Hoax

The Washington Times has a story today that says President George W. Bush wants Congress to pass a bill to combat global warming. Source within the administration said this is a move to try to move the Republican party closer to the center on global warming, and they hope this will end the debate on the issue.

I guess this confirms what real conservatives have thought for a long time. George W. Bush is not a true conservative, but he is really a closet liberal. This idea of man-made global warming is nothing more than a myth that has been created by liberals to gain more control over our lives and to take away our freedoms. It has been proven to be untrue. This whole idea that man is creating global warming is bull crap. Al Gore and his “theories” has been proven wrong time and time again. Why are we still giving in to these false beliefs and myths?

I hope conservatives will wake up and realize that Bush used us only to get elected. He knew he needed conservatives to get elected, especially conservative Christians. We were sold down the river over his two terms. He refuses to get a backbone with liberals. The only people he has a backbone with are countries he can invade. By him jumping on the global warming bandwagon to appease liberals, he has shown his true colors and beliefs, and they are not conservative. I’ll post more on him later.

Possible Global Warming Tax In Los Angeles

Well, the fruits and nuts from San Francisco must be taking over Los Angeles.  The Orange County Register has a story about Assemblyman Mike Feuer, a Los Angeles Democrat and author of the global warming tax legislation known as Assembly Bill 2558.

Referred to as a “climate change mitigation and adaptation fee,” this bill would cost either an additional 3% motor fuel tax or  up to an annual $90 fee.   The new charges would be on top of taxes already paid at the pump. But there is still hope because either option requires a majority approval by a vote of the people.  Surely there are enough people with any sense to vote this measure down.

Children Being Brainwashed About Global Warming

In Florida Today, William Gray, the well-known hurricane forecaster, said that “a mild form of McCarthyism has developed toward those scientists who do not agree” there is global warming.  Gray also said that “we are also brainwashing our children on the warming topic. We have no better example than Al Gore’s alarmists and inaccurate movie which is being shown in our schools and being hawked by warming activists with little or no meteorological-climate background.”

States Sue Bush Administration and EPA

Apparently, this news item has slid in under the radar.  On April 2, 18 states, 2 cities, and 11 environmental groups sued the Bush Administration and is wanting to force the EPA to enforce a Supreme Court ruling that opened the door for regulating the greenhouse gases tied to global warming.  They want the EPA to act in the next 60 days.

I guess these environmentalists don’t care about the erosion of our rights.  If they can keep perpetuating a lie and myth, they will happily live in ignorance and in a freedomless society.

Global Warming Hoax Threatens Freedom

I have not been able to update this blog as often as I would like and have had this item for a few weeks. I have been meaning to post it, but I haven’t really had a chance until now.

Last month, the Australian published an edited extract of a speech that was given by Vaclav Klaus at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change in New York on March 4. Below is an excerpt from that speech:

“As a politician who personally experienced communist central planning of all kinds of human activities, I feel obliged to bring back the already almost forgotten arguments used in the famous plan-versus-market debate in the 1930s in economic theory (between Mises and Hayek on the one side and Lange and Lerner on the other), the arguments we had been using for decades until the moment of the fall of communism. The innocence with which climate alarmists and their fellow-travellers in politics and media now present and justify their ambitions to mastermind human society belongs to the same fatal conceit. To my great despair, this is not sufficiently challenged, neither in the field of social sciences, nor in the field of climatology.

The climate alarmists believe in their own omnipotency, in knowing better than millions of rationally behaving men and women what is right or wrong. They believe in their own ability to assemble all relevant data into their Central Climate Change Regulatory Office equipped with huge supercomputers, in the possibility of giving adequate instructions to hundreds of millions of individuals and institutions.

We have to restart the discussion about the very nature of government and about the relationship between the individual and society. We need to learn the uncompromising lesson from the inevitable collapse of communism 18 years ago. It is not about climatology. It is about freedom.”

He is correct. If you look at how the global warming hoax is being perpetuated and the extremism that is being used, it is just a matter of time until our freedoms are further eroded. It’s time to stand up against these lies.

BBC News has an article on its website that states global temperatures will drop this year because of the la nina current in the Pacific.  This would mean that temperatures really haven’t risen since 1998.  This article also has an animation that explains how el nino and la nina currents affect the earth and its temperatures.  This article is further support of real science proving the earth’s temperature is affected by nature, weather patterns, and the earth’s characteristics and not by man.

I guess this is why the term “global warming” is not popular and Al Gore and his surrogates are using the term “global climate change”.  I guess it is easier to keep changing your theory when science proves it wrong than it is to just admit you are wrong.

Global Warning-The Greatest Hoax Ever-Part 4

In the July 2, 2006 edition of the Wall Street Journal, Richard S. Lindzen wrote an article entitled, “Don’t Believe the Hype”.  Mr. Lindzen is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT.  In his article, he asserted Al Gore is wrong and there is no consensus on global warming.  I would like to review Lindzen’s article.

In an ABC interview with George Stephanopoulos, Al Gore said that “the debate in the scientific community is over.”  What is the debate Gore referred to?  In a 1988 issue of Newsweek, it was claimed that all scientists agreed on the subject of global warming.  As time went by, it was revealed there had been lingering doubts beforehand, but now, all scientists agree there is a problem.  When Stephanopoulos questioned Gore with the fact that the best estimates of rising seal levels are far less dire than he  suggested in “An Inconvenient Truth”, Gore defended his claims by saying that scientists “don’t have any models that give them a high level of confidence” and that they “don’t know…they just don’t know.”  I guess this means that these scientists could not be included in the consensus?

Gore does not use factual support for his claims.  He just uses alarmism.  As Mr. Lindzen said “to believe Gore’s claims requires that one ignore the truly inconvenient facts.  To take the issue of rising seal levels, these include:  that the Arctic was warm or warmer in 1940; that icebergs have been known since time immemorial; that the evidence so far suggests that the Greenland ice sheet is actually growing on average.  A likely result of all this is increased pressure pushing ice off the coastal perimeter of that country, which is depicted so ominously in Mr. Gore’s movie.  Alpine glaciers have been retreating since the early 19^th century and advancing for several centuries before that.  Since about 1970, many of the glaciers have stopped retreating and some are now advancing again.  Frankly, we don’t know why.”

It has been claimed that malaria was a byproduct of global warming.  Malaria was once common in Michigan and Siberia and remains common in Siberia.  Mosquitoes don’t require tropical warmth.

Al Gore and others tend to ignore the fact that the earth and its climate are dynamic.  As Lindzen said, “They are always changing even without any external forcing.  To treat all change as something to fear is bad enough; to do so in order to exploit that fear is much worse.”

Most of the climate community has agreed since 1988 that global mean temperatures have increased on the order of 1 degree Fahrenheit over the past century, having risen significantly from about 1919 to 1940, decreased between 1940 and the early 1970s, increased again until the 1990s, and remaining essentially flat since 1998.

Toward the end of 2007, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released a study that stated that “not all the large changes seen in Arctic climate in recent years are a result of long-term trends associated with global warming.” This is a far cry from the assertions of Al Gore. Gore has been going around telling everyone that low ice conditions in the Arctic are the fault of gas carbon dioxide. Of course, this report was not widely reported by the media. Why not? It’s because they wouldn’t want anything to destroy the illusion they have tried to craft that there’s a scientific consensus regarding man made global warming.

The scientists reported there was a 10-millibar decrease in water pressure at the bottom of the ocean at the North Pole between 2002-2006. This was equal to removing about 4 inches of water from the ocean. These scientists said, “The distribution and size of the decrease suggest that Arctic Ocean circulation changed from the counter clockwise patter in exhibited in the 1990s to the clockwise patter that was dominant prior to 1990. Our study confirms many changes seen in upper Arctic Ocean Circulation in the 1990s were mostly decadal in nature rather than trends caused by global warming.”

The study showed the Arctic Oscillation was fairly stable until about 1970, but then “varied on more or less decadal time scales, with signs of an underlying upward trend, until the late 1990’s, when it again stabilized. During its strong counterclockwise phase in the 1990s, the Arctic environment changed markedly, with the upper Arctic Ocean undergoing major changes that persisted into this century.”

These scientists said the data shows the “bottom pressure has increased back toward its 2002 level. The winter of 2006-2007 was another high Arctic Oscillation year and summer sea ice extent reached a new minimum. While it is too early to say, it looks as though the Arctic Ocean is ready to start swinging back to the counterclockwise circulation pattern of the 1990s again.”
